2025
Kalaeloa Partners is honored to the lead the support of education by being the first participant in supporting the endowment of Island Pacific Academy (IPA) located in the heart of Kapolei, the independent premiere coed, college preparatory school in West Oahu. A vital school dedicated to expanding educational opportunities in our Kapolei Community. This initiative aligns with our commitment to fostering academic growth and creating lasting, positive change for West Oahu. We take great pride in contributing to a future where students, teachers and administrators have the resources and support needed to achieve their full potential. Through this endowment, we hope to inspire others to invest in education and help build a stronger, more equitable community for generations to come.
2024
Successfully completed the 2nd year of the extended Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) by meeting or in some cases, exceeding all contractual obligations. 2024 was also met with successful community meetings to inform the public of its role in providing energy for Oahu and supporting Hawaii’s clean energy goals. KPLP remains committed to support of non-profit organizations including the Presenting Sponsor for the 2024 ALS Walk.
2023
Efficient new technology in kind will replace units built in 1991.
As of December 1, 2023, KPLP has been awarded the opportunity to commence the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations for a potential 30-year extension with the Base Proposal under Hawaiian Electric’s Contract 3 – Request for Proposal (RFP3) (see Annex A).
